Drinking coffee on an empty stomach (especially in the morning) can cause colon cancer!

Avoid drinking coffee for an hour after you wake up. Instead, eat some solid food or and/or a smoothie with protein and banana before your first cup of joe.
If you drink a cup of black coffee on an empty stomach, you will trigger the release of hydrochloric acid inside your digestive tract. People who suffer from gastritis are particularly experienced with this occurrence.

This acid works as a ‘violation’ of the food we have consumed. Especially if you have eaten something ‘heavy’ or fatty, it may cause problems with the digestion. This is all due to the fact that the excess stomach acid leads to a difficult digestion of proteins.

If the proteins are not completely decomposed, some issues may occur, like bloating, inflammation of the bowel, irritation and even cancer of the colon.
This problem becomes much worse if you drink coffee on an empty stomach first thing in the morning.

that we should not consume coffee in the morning right after we wake up. The coffee will raise the levels of cortisol very fast and the body will not be able to return to its normal state for long time.

This is the hormone that regulates our biological clock and our ability to stay awake. Furthermore, if we consume coffee on an empty stomach we will increase the level of stomach acid, which can contribute to bloating and vomiting.
